AI Data Center Demand Powers Dell, Snowflake, Lenovo Rally

Gotrade News - AI data center spending is fueling a sharp rally across server, software, and cloud names this week. Dell, Snowflake, and Lenovo each posted record results that lifted shares by double digits in extended trading.

The moves reflect a broader buildout where US tech giants plan over $700 billion in AI infrastructure capex this year. That spending is flowing directly into hardware vendors, cloud platforms, and the chip suppliers powering enterprise AI workloads.

Key Takeaways

  • Dell raised FY2027 revenue guidance to $165-$169 billion on surging AI server demand.
  • Snowflake stock soared 36% after Q1 revenue rose 33.6% year over year to $1.39 billion.
  • Lenovo shares hit a record HK$18.7 as AI revenue nearly doubled in the latest quarter.

Hardware Vendors Lead The Charge

According to Investing.com, Dell Technologies (DELL) shares surged about 39% in extended trading after results. The company raised FY2027 revenue guidance to $165-$169 billion from a prior $138-$142 billion range.

Dell also lifted its adjusted EPS guide to $17.90 from $12.90 and now sees AI server revenue near $60 billion. Q1 FY2027 revenue came in at $43.84 billion, up 88% year over year and well above the $35.43 billion consensus.

The Infrastructure Solutions Group, covering servers, storage, and software, posted a 181% revenue jump on AI data center demand. Adjusted EPS of $4.86 also crushed the $2.94 analyst estimate, underscoring strong operating leverage in the segment.

Lenovo delivered a parallel hardware story across the Pacific that reinforced the same theme. As reported by CNBC, Lenovo shares surged over 20% Friday and added 18% Tuesday to a record HK$18.7.

AI-related revenue rose 84% in the fourth quarter to account for 38% of total group revenue. AI server revenue jumped 105% year over year, while the Infrastructure Solutions division grew 37% as the fastest-expanding segment.

Software And Chip Ecosystem Benefits

The same capex wave is propelling enterprise AI software platforms higher alongside hardware names. Per Insider Monkey, Snowflake (SNOW) shares jumped 36.48% to $239.20 after Q1 FY2027 results.

Revenue reached $1.39 billion, up 33.6% from $1.04 billion a year earlier, while net loss narrowed 31% to $295 million. Snowflake raised full-year product revenue guidance to $5.84 billion, implying 31% growth versus the prior 27% outlook.

CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy called AI a powerful tailwind and described Q1 as a clear inflection point for the platform. Cortex Code and Snowflake Intelligence products were highlighted as the key drivers behind accelerating customer adoption.

The chip layer underpinning these workloads remains the common dependency across all three vendors. Dell AI servers are powered by NVIDIA (NVDA) chips, and hyperscaler capex from Alphabet and Amazon continues flowing through that supply chain.
