Hey Gotraders!

We’ve got an important update regarding your holdings in Comerica Inc. (CMA).

As of February 2, 2026, Comerica has officially completed its merger with Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB). Following the completion of this transaction, CMA is no longer traded as a standalone public company.

Here’s a breakdown of what this means for your portfolio.

So, What’s Happening?

A merger occurs when two companies combine into one organization. These transactions often lead to changes in how shares are structured, including the conversion of shares from the acquired company into shares of the acquiring company.

In this case, Comerica Inc. (CMA) merged with Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB). After the merger was finalized, CMA ceased trading as a separate publicly listed company.

As a result:

  • CMA shares are no longer listed on the market

  • The CMA ticker is no longer available for trading

Instead, shareholders received Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) shares based on the agreed conversion ratio.

How This Affects Your Gotrade Portfolio

Here’s exactly what has changed in your account:

1. Share Conversion Ratio

Your CMA shares have been automatically converted into Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) shares according to the official exchange ratio:

1 CMA share = 1.8663 FITB shares

The number of FITB shares you received depends on how many CMA shares you held prior to the merger.

Example:

  • If you owned 10 shares of CMA

  • 10 × 1.8663 = 18.663 shares of FITB

Your Gotrade portfolio now reflects the updated number of FITB shares based on this conversion.

If the calculation resulted in fractional shares, they will appear in your portfolio as fractional holdings.

2. Removal of CMA From Trading

Because the merger has been completed:

  • CMA is no longer available for trading

  • The CMA ticker has been removed from your portfolio

  • Your holdings now reflect Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) shares

Your portfolio value now reflects the market value of your FITB shares based on current market prices.

Action Required

No action is required from your side. The entire process has been completed automatically, including:

  • Conversion of CMA shares into FITB shares

  • Portfolio updates reflecting the new holdings

  • Removal of CMA from active positions

You can view your updated portfolio and current holdings anytime directly in your Gotrade app.
