Gotrade News - Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced the plan to transfer 200 to 300 employees from the Directorate General of Budget to the Directorate General of Taxation. This move aims to address the human resource needs of the Taxation Directorate, which is currently understaffed.
Purbaya considers this a strategic move meant to enhance efficiency in human resource management. By reallocating staff, the DJP can optimize its workforce without the need to recruit new employees.
This policy also provides a solution for the Directorate General of Budget, which reportedly has a surplus of staff. The transfer will reduce administrative burdens for the DJA, allowing it to focus more on its core responsibilities.
The increasing needs at the DJP align with the growing complexity of tax tasks in Indonesia. This transfer is expected to expedite processes and improve the quality of service to taxpayers.
Purbaya emphasized that this policy will be implemented as fairly and transparently as possible. The employee transfer process will be carried out by considering the expertise and requirements of the new institution.
Strengthening the DJP through this transfer is expected to boost state tax revenues. With additional staff, the DJP can expand its reach and increase tax collection efficiency.
Djarot Hidayat, an economist, views this step as a bureaucratic innovation that can stimulate ministerial performance. Cross-sector support is necessary to ensure a smooth transition.
This step is also part of the structural reforms under Purbaya's leadership. Internal efficiency is key in facing dynamic economic challenges.
The policy will be gradually socialized to all concerned parties. According to Purbaya, active participation from all employees is a determining factor for its success.
