Gotrade News - The government has confirmed that there will be no increase in fuel prices on April 1, 2026. This decision is made to prioritize the public interest, following directives from President Prabowo Subianto.

This measure aims to ensure people are not worried and their purchasing power remains stable. State Secretary Minister, Prasetyo Hadi, emphasized that the government and Pertamina ensure a steady supply of fuel to keep it affordable.

Addressing the issue of rising fuel prices, the government declared that all fuel prices, both subsidized and non-subsidized, remain unchanged. Pertalite stays at Rp 10,000 per liter, while Biosolar remains Rp 6,800 per liter.

Furthermore, non-subsidized fuel prices like Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo will continue to follow global market rates. This determination aligns with the formula set by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The decision not to increase fuel prices is made after careful consideration and coordination with Pertamina. The government also highlights the importance of accurate information to keep the public calm.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, explained that non-subsidized fuel prices fully adhere to market mechanisms. This ensures the state is not burdened by price movements in the industrial fuel sector.

Fuel types with higher octane ratings, such as RON 95 and RON 98, are more commonly used by affluent groups. These fuel types are not subsidized and, therefore, do not impact the national budget.

Through this policy, the government supports economic stability and prevents inflation from rising. This effort aims to protect the purchasing power of the public amid the dynamics of global energy prices.

The public is urged to stay calm and keep up to date with official government information regarding this fuel policy.
