Gotrade News - The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) opened weaker in the early trading this week, Monday (04/06/2026). IHSG dropped 0.77% to 6,972, with 387 stocks declining.

Trump's Statement Affects IHSG

The stock market is under pressure following harsh statements by President Donald Trump. Trump threatened decisive action against Iran, sowing negative sentiment in the global markets. This sentiment is prompting investors to adopt a more cautious stance.

BRI Danareksa Sekuritas anticipates a potential descending triangle pattern on IHSG, indicating a possibility of further decline towards the support level of 7,000 – 6,950 in the coming days.

Impact on Stocks and Commodities

Trump’s statements have increased geopolitical uncertainty, impacting 359 weakening stocks. Meanwhile, oil commodity prices have risen due to conflict concerns. This situation adds pressure on the Indonesian stock market.

Trading volume reached 1.3 billion shares with an initial transaction value of Rp2.1 trillion. The trading frequency recorded more than 102,000 transactions, marking high market volatility.

Investors are advised to monitor the development of the United States' stance towards Iran. This decision is crucial for anticipating further changes in stock and commodity markets in the near future.
