According to Insider Monkey on Monday (28/04), UEC gained on a key regulatory green light. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality approved the Burke Hollow project.
Burke Hollow is described as the first in-situ recovery uranium operation in more than a decade. Output will be processed at the Hobson Central Processing Plant.
The Hobson plant is licensed for up to 4 million pounds of uranium per year. UEC now operates two active ISR projects in production simultaneously.
UEC CEO Amir Adnani called Burke Hollow a significant achievement for the company. The project moved from grassroots discovery in 2012 to production in 2026.
Adnani said the 100% unhedged, staged growth strategy positions UEC to capture demand. The Ludeman ISR project is planned for startup in 2027.
X-Energy meanwhile climbed 23.22% on its second day as a public company. Shares closed at US$35.98 on Monday on heavy investor demand.
X-Energy is a leading developer of advanced small modular nuclear reactors. The company also builds next-generation nuclear fuel technology platforms.
The IPO raised US$1.017 billion from the sale of 44.2 million Class A shares. The deal valued X-Energy at US$14 billion at listing.
Underwriters were granted a 30-day option for an additional 6.6 million shares. That option could add roughly US$152.68 million if exercised in full.
Amazon is both an investor and a customer of X-Energy. The tech giant is ramping plans to secure energy services from small modular reactors.
Cathie Wood's Ark Invest placed a US$120 million stake in X-Energy. Backing from marquee investors lends credibility for retail buyers entering the name.
The sector rally reflects market expectations for long-duration clean power demand. Uranium and SMR remain core thematic plays for investors in 2026.
We at Gotrade give Indonesian investors access to UEC and XE alongside other US-listed nuclear names like CCJ, NXE, SMR, BWXT, and OKLO for those building exposure to the uranium and small modular reactor theme.
