We’ve got an important update regarding your holdings in Telefónica S.A. (TEF).
As of January 20, 2026, Telefónica has transitioned from its previous listing and is now trading on the OTC market under a new ticker: TELFY.
Here’s what this means for your portfolio.
What’s Happening?
In some cases, a company may move from a major exchange to the over-the-counter (OTC) market, often accompanied by a change in its ticker symbol.
In this case, Telefónica S.A. (TEF) is now listed on the OTC market under the new ticker TELFY.
As a result:
- TEF is no longer available under its previous listing
- The stock now trades under a different ticker in the OTC market
How This Affects Your Gotrade Portfolio
Here’s exactly what has changed in your account:
1. Ticker Conversion
Your existing TEF holdings have been automatically converted into the new ticker: TEF → TELFY.
This means:
- The number of shares you hold remains the same
- Only the ticker symbol has changed
Your Gotrade portfolio now reflects your holdings under TELFY.
2. Trading Status
Following the transition to the OTC market:
- TELFY is available on a sell-only basis
- New buy orders are currently not supported
This means you can choose to sell your holdings, but you cannot open new positions in TELFY at this time.
Action Required
No action is required from your side. The entire update has been completed automatically, including:
- Conversion of TEF holdings into TELFY
- Portfolio updates reflecting the new ticker
