About Norfolk Southern
Our history begins in 1934 when Ben and Lena Rosen opened a small plumbing supply company on Norfolk Street in Boston. Over the years, that small plumbing supply company grew into Norfolk Hardware & Home Center as we added on additional product categories to meet customer demand. In 1985, Norfolk Hardware & Home Center’s customers started requesting cabinets and countertops. After having initial success through the hardware store, and to keep up with the customer demand, we opened Norfolk Kitchen & Bath and Northeast Cabinet & Countertop Distributors.
