Gotrade Daily: CoreWeave & Super Micro Report Tonight

Two AI infrastructure heavyweights report after tonight's close, and the whole chip-and-server complex is on watch ahead of US inflation data.

US futures are trading roughly flat this morning. The market is holding its breath ahead of the July CPI print due tomorrow, Wednesday 12 August, the number that will set the tone for the Fed's rate path.

Tonight's story is AI infrastructure. CoreWeave (CRWV) and Super Micro (SMCI), two of the biggest names in AI compute, both report after the US close. Options are pricing a large swing on Super Micro, and CoreWeave has been trading cautiously into the print. Their results will ripple across the AI supply chain, from chips to servers.

Tonight's Catalysts

CoreWeave's profitability test

CoreWeave (CRWV) reports Q2 2026 after the close. Wall Street expects revenue near $2.55 billion and a loss of about $1.23 per share. The focus is the order backlog, which reached $99.4 billion, and whether surging GPU demand keeps converting into revenue growth and a clearer path to profit. The stock carries a Moderate Buy consensus.

Super Micro and the margin rebound

Super Micro (SMCI) reports Q4 fiscal 2026. The company guided adjusted gross margin to a range of 15% to 17%, a sharp improvement from the 8.2% to 8.4% projected back in May. Its backlog hit a record with more than $60 billion in new orders during the quarter. DELL is the closest read-through as a fellow server vendor.

Chips coiled ahead of CPI

AI hardware names advanced on Monday, with Dell up about 3% and the AI-server complex broadly higher into earnings. The move is fragile, though, with inflation data landing tomorrow.

Pre-Market Pulse 📊

Index futures are inching either side of flat before the open. Semiconductor and server names are the most liquid proxies for tonight's reports, and Nvidia remains the fastest sentiment gauge in the group.

Macro Note 📝

Tomorrow's July CPI is the week's decisive input for the rate outlook. The market is likely to hold positioning until the number lands.

Conclusion

Tonight comes down to one question: is AI infrastructure demand still as strong as the valuations imply. CoreWeave and Super Micro will give the first read, and the fastest confirmation will show up across the chip and server names.

With inflation data due tomorrow, managing risk matters more than chasing a move. Watch the sector's reaction, not just a single name.
